What happens in Professor Mia

A student in trouble is sent to the professor for a one-on-one counseling session. Discipline is the stated purpose, and it does not survive the first meeting; the session drifts into something else, and the two of them keep the arrangement going. Midway through, a second authority figure, the principal, walks in on it. Rather than ending things, she negotiates her own place in the arrangement.

That second arrival is what turns a two-character story into a three-way power struggle. Control of the room changes hands twice, and the final episodes hinge on the understanding the two women reach with each other, with the student caught between them. The setting stays on campus, in offices rather than dorms, which puts it closer to the office-politics premise of YES, DIRECTOR than to the student-life plots that fill the rest of the shelf.
